It was a normal Monday. I woke up, completed my morning routine, and headed to work at the salon. The morning started off productively with two quick haircuts, but then the pace slowed considerably.
Business was unusually slow today. With the lack of clients, I found myself with extra time on my hands. I didn't get to have lunch until 3 p.m., much later than my usual time. During the empty periods, I managed to watch a few episodes of Suits to pass the time.
Things picked up slightly before closing time when three more clients came in for haircuts. After finishing with the last customer and closing up the shop, I made a quick stop at the flower shop to purchase items needed for pooja at home.
I finally arrived home around 10 p.m., feeling tired but still made time for a short workout session. Had a late dinner at 11 p.m. and eventually went to bed at midnight, ready to rest before another workday tomorrow.
Today was a reminder of how unpredictable work can be at the salon. The slow periods gave me time to catch up on my show, but the late rush of clients meant a later evening than planned. Need to plan better for these fluctuations in the future, especially for meal times.
